“Pete was one of the best leaders I have had the privilege to manage. He has a tremendous ability to understand the business goals and implications of any generally-worded assignment. This allows him to quickly decompose an assignment into practical tasks and projects which he then leads to successful conclusion while communicating effectively. As an example, with no prior notice I asked Pete to assume responsibility for the relocation of over 50 people, including marketing, pre-sales and Engineering teams from their current office to a new facility, as the IT Manager responsible for the project had abruptly left the company. Several of Pete's observations and suggestions in skill set, languages, and operational procedures were adopted and allowed the Asia-Pacific customer support team to significantly improve its ability to work with customers in Singapore and China. Pete's improvements were exploited by the sales team, and were a significant factor in the 40% growth in new customers in these regions in the following year. Pete is an outstanding customer advocate who was unafraid to push Engineering on a customer's behalf or in support of a sales opportunity. Pete quickly recognizes situations that need immediate escalation and does not wait to be prodded - he simply acts.
